You can play a vital role in supporting young athletes by volunteering your time for the upcoming races. No experience is necessary because on the job training is provided. You will be fed lunch, and volunteers who work three days will receive a day pass to Whistler Olympic Park. Those who can commit one or two days will be eligible for other perks and draw prizes.

The Squamish Food bank supports people in our community with food. We are open on the first 3 Wednesdays of every month to the public as well as other days in-between for sorting, restocking, rotating stock and setting up for our Food Bank days. We also pick up donations and do deliveries in our van. We are looking for volunteers who are available on Tuesdays or Wednesdays for a variety of tasks. We have a great team of volunteers and have no doubt that you would enjoy the experience.

Volunteer opportunities are many and varied depending on each individual’s expertise and availability. We are always in need of volunteers in our kitchen for food preparation and service; as part of our Food Rescue crew; as an employer choosing to work with people with barriers; on standing committees and/or on our Board of Directors; in areas such as web design; social media strategy; and over all Marketing & Communications planning and so on.

The Squamish Hospice Society actively promotes compassionate care and support to improve the quality of life for people of all cultures with life limiting illness, their loved ones and the bereaved throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor. Volunteers can support this organization by giving their time through activities such as: patient visiting, caregiver support, bereavement support, bereavement walk, office admin support, fundraising and events.

The Squamish River Watershed Society takes a holistic approach towards watershed restoration. Every year over 600 elementary school students participate in our spring Education Outreach experiential learning program.
