Hilary Bloom, Director of Library Services

Hilary has been with the Squamish Public Library since 2002, first as a circulation desk staff member and later as children’s librarian and deputy director. After several years of auxiliary work for the library, she became the Director of Library Services in January of 2014. Hilary was a tutor for the provincial Ministry of Education Community Librarian Training Program courses in children’s and youth services for six years, and has worked as an auxiliary librarian at Quest University Canada. She received a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of British Columbia in 2005. Hilary’s most prestigious job title is that of “Mom” to her two young daughters.
Kate Inman, Children’s and Youth Librarian

Kate began working at the Squamish Public Library in 2004 as an on-call front desk staff. She has worked as the Children’s Librarian since 2006. Kate has always enjoyed working with children and loves interacting with all the young citizens of Squamish and their parents. Before working as a Librarian, Kate was a full-time Mom and before that she worked in Outdoor Education.
Rachel Bergquist, Public Services Librarian

Rachel has been Public Services Librarian at the Squamish Public Library since the summer of 2018. She likes to help library visitors find answers to a wide range of questions, but especially enjoys teaching basic technology during the weekly Drop-In Device Support program. After work, Rachel likes to bake bread and ride her bike. She holds a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of British Columbia.
